Hello everyone, here’s this week’s episode. It was mostly a week of news, as Lost was absent and Battlestar ended last month. Fortunately we’re entering the summer movie season starting this week with Wolverine, so there should be plenty to talk about in the weeks to come. One of the films I’m most looking forward to, as I mentioned in this week’s Best Thing, is Rian Johnson’s Brothers Bloom. The opening seven minutes is here on hulu. If you look around you’ll also find Jose’s Worst Thing on hulu, but I won’t link you to it.
It’s new episode time again! You would think that by episode 50 we would know how to work these machines, but a technical glitch prevented any of our sound effects. We could hear them with no problem, though, so if you hear us reacting to things that aren’t there, that’s what’s going on.
Why do I still have HBO?
I just spotted this today on Yahoo! movies. As a massive GL fan I can’t help but to be giddy about this kind of thing.
So the new show is up and in it we discuss many, many things, not the least of which was my rant against NBC ( and really all broadcast media) and inadvertently, modern capitalism. I haven’t listened to the show yet, but I’m pretty sure I meant every word I said. There comes a point in time where the things you do to increase your business makes sense financial but ultimately alienates your customer base. Let me put it this way; it’s cheaper to make toys with lead paint but in the end their won’t be any kids left to play with them. So maybe you’re better off, in the long run, to not poison the audience…I mean, the kids. Do it for the kids.
So enough of that. Now here’s some kick-ass zombie superheroes courtesy of DC Comics new Blog.
